Advanced Vision Accuracy technology - Get more out of your eyes
Whether you are wearing glasses for the first time or have been wearing spectacles for years, you have probably heard of the term "eyeglass prescription." Your eyeglass prescription -or eyeglass prescription- is based on eye examination and allows us to give you the right lenses that best correct your vision.
Our eyesight and prescription lenses are measured in diopters, a unit of strength. For decades, eyes have been measured to the nearest quarter.
On your prescription glasses, you have probably seen the following: 0.25 dpt, 0.50 dpt 0.75 dpt or simply 0.00 dpt. These are the current correction standards, but they limit the precision that prescription lenses can provide and this will affect your vision because your eyes can perceive much higher precision.
It's like wearing a suit or dress in your size, but it doesn't fit your exact measurements perfectly.
We measure to the hundredth diopter accurately
After five years of scientific research and analyzing more than 100,000 vision parameters, Essilor has developed a breakthrough in high-precision vision: AVA™, Advanced Vision Accuracy™.
Thanks to this new, highly accurate way to measure your eyes, at Siefers Opticum we can now measure your eyes to the hundredth diopter.
Whatever your glasses prescription is; + 2.21 dpt, -5.32 dpt or -11.11 dpt, your new lenses will be made to 0.01 diopters instead of being rounded up or down.
Research shows that 95% of people have more sensitive vision than the current correction steps of 0.25 diopters.
Your benefits at a glance
- A highly accurate and more precise eye examination according to the AVA protocol.
- The choice between standard and AGM is clearly visualized.
- Sharper and more comfortable lenses.
Not available everywhere
In order to fit lenses with AVA technology into your spectacle frames, we had to purchase special eye measurement equipment. This measuring equipment is reserved only for Essilor's top customers.
We measure all our customers with the new AVA system. With the push of a button after the measurement, we show you the difference between standard and AVA. The choice is then up to you.
Not surprisingly, this highly accurate way of measuring eyes also requires special lenses that can accommodate all this technology. Only the multifocal Varilux and the single Eyezen can be fitted with the AVA technique.
Are you used to choosing the best quality lenses anyway? Then it only makes a difference of 10 euros per lens.
Of course, you can still come to us for standard lenses as well.
